Twiggy And The Swinging ’60s

Twiggy in the 60s

It’s impossible to think about the 1960s without mentioning Twiggy. She has been a cultural icon since the ’60s. She was a global sensation and the epitome of the Mod Look. Her look and fashion were synonymous with the swinging ’60s.

When I think of the swinging 1960s, and in particular, London in the 1960s, I think of pop and fashion. The Beatles, The Who, The Kinks, Rod Stewart, The Rolling Stones, Dusty Springfield, and Sandie Shaw. Mini-Skirts, bold colors, pastel colors, pastel eye shadow, and spidery eye lashes. Jaguar E-Type, Vespas, Carnaby Road, and Kings Road.

It was a time of love, rebellion, and sexual liberation.

And in the middle of it all was Twiggy

For The First Time In My Life

The music for Tom Jones the Musical is based on the music coming out of London in the 1960s. So why not make a video of Twiggy set to one of the songs from the show? I hope you like it.
